    Pam Mellor (Chief Finance Officer)

I am an experienced CFO with a solid background in schools financial management, budget development and business leadership.  I have over 30 years of experience as an educational finance professional, working in many positions, including Senior Auditor and as CFO at Wakefield’s first secondary academy.  I have successfully supported the development of both standalone academies and MATs. My duties have facilitated my CPD, broadening my expertise through managing capital programmes, provision of financial consultancy services and enhancing my knowledge of Multi Academy Trust funding strategies and growth plans.  I consider myself a 'can do' person and adopt a combination of theory, and a 'common sense' approach to provide a range of innovative solutions to resolve most organisational and business issues.    Having my own family, I am passionate about education and the ability to provide fantastic opportunities for our youngsters to give them the best chance in life to fulfil their dreams. I am delighted to become part of Waterton Academy Trust and its future growth and expansion, working alongside some amazing and talented individuals who share common goals.  Waterton Academy Trust is something unique and exciting and is already leading the way in terms of innovation and ground-breaking philosophies so who knows what is around the corner...

    Karen Newton (Business Administration Apprentice)

I qualified as a teaching assistant in 2003 and have worked in schools around Barnsley supporting teaching and learning for many years.  I was looking to take a change of direction in career but still sought to work within primary schools.  I was offered a fantastic opportunity to work for Waterton Academy Trust as part of a work to learn initiative.  I currently work in different schools across the Trust, supporting the administration, business and finance team whilst working towards a Business Administration qualification.  I have settled in really well and everyone I have met and worked with are very friendly, welcoming and supportive.  I am thrilled to be part of the Trust and look forward to the future.

    Elanor Davies (Trust Administrator)

I joined the trust in September 2016 after working in a Children’s Centre and Primary School. I have been aware of Waterton Academy Trust for some time and am excited to be part of a successful and passionate team. I provide administrative support to the team including liaising with schools and suppliers, HR and finance support and administration of meetings.

The work of the Trust is very positive for children, families and the community as whole. I am confident of an exciting future ahead.
