Celebrating Outstanding Pupil Success: Finley Shines in Times Tables Rockstar ‘England Rocks’!
We are incredibly proud to celebrate the fantastic achievement of Finley, a Year 6 pupil at Normanton Junior Academy, who has achieved exceptional success in the recent Times Tables Rock Stars ‘England Rocks’ competition.
Finley finished 1st in Yorkshire and an impressive 8th nationally, competing against nearly 373,000 pupils across England. Over the three-day competition, he answered an astonishing 25,410 questions correctly in just three hours of play – a remarkable demonstration of mathematical fluency, focus and resilience.
This outstanding result reflects not only Finley’s strong maths skills, but also his determination, perseverance and commitment to doing his very best. He has represented Normanton Junior Academy and Waterton Academy Trust brilliantly, and his success is a true inspiration to pupils across our schools.
As a school, Normanton Junior Academy was also able to come 4th in Yorkshire for the total number of correct answers, as well as Mr Siddle’s Year 6 class coming 2nd in Yorkshire, for individual classes. Absolutely fantastic!!!
Well done, Finley – you should feel incredibly proud of this achievement. Everyone across the Trust joins in congratulating you on this fantastic success.
